Development of a right hydropneumothorax on the right. Note the partially removed 4th rib on the right as well as soft tissue surgical emphysema and edema within the right chest wall. 

 

One day later

Follow-up radiograph demonstrates a drop (caudal-migration) of the gas-fluid level with increasing air in pneumonectomy space.
