The MRI sequences demonstrate moderate narrowing of the T8-T9 disc space. The T8 and T9 vertebral bodies are of low signal on T1, high signal on T2 and STIR sequences with enhancement on postcontrast sequences (bone marrow edema). Thickening and enhancement with small abscess formation of the prevertebral space. No abscess formation in the anterior epidural space.
Case Discussion
MRI features of T8-T9 spondylodiscitis.
The laboratory investigations were positive for Brucellosis.
