Presentation

Locked left knee after a long flight. No trauma history.

Patient Data

Age: 55 years
Gender: Female
x-ray
  • infrapatellar soft tissue edema with no bone fractures.

  • mild degenerative changes with medial joint space narrowing and subchondral sclerosis

Case Discussion

The patient had a knee arthroscopy that confirmed the diagnosis of a bucket handle meniscal tear of the posterior and body of the medial meniscus. A partial medial meniscectomy was then performed. The patient fully recovered after two months.
