Knee trauma and twisting 1 month ago followed by pain, knee locking and limitation of movement

Patient Data

Age: 28 years old
Gender: Female

Bucket handle tear of the lateral meniscus with displacement of the meniscal fragment medially to the intercondylar notch which is responsible for locking of the knee

Case Discussion

A bucket handle tear is a displaced longitudinal tear, which more commonly affects the medial meniscus unlike this case where the lateral meniscus is affected.
