Presentation

Twisting injury of the knee.

Patient Data

Age: 45 years
Gender: Male

Knee joint

Bucket-handle tear of the posterior horn medial meniscus with the torn fragment displaced medially within the intercondylar notch below the PCL (double PCL sign).

Mild knee joint effusion.

Intact anterior cruciate and posterior cruciate ligaments.

Subchondral marrow bruising of the lateral tibial plateau.
