Non-arthrographic MRI reveals absence of the anterosuperior labrum with a thickened, fibrillary, middle glenohumeral ligament and a small, diminutive anteroinferior labrum, with a normal take-off of the biceps tendon from the superior glenoid rim.
Case Discussion
Buford complex is a congenital variant of the glenoid labrum. It is defined as the absence of the superior labrum from 1-3 O'clock position and is associated with a thickened, sometimes cord-like, middle glenohumeral ligament that helps to add anterior stability to the shoulder.
