Focal absence of the anterosuperior glenoid labrum at 12-3 o'clock. Thickened cord-like middle glenohumeral ligament. Findings are compatible with Buford complex.
The glenoid labrum appears otherwise normal in size, shape, and internal signal characteristics.

Case Discussion

Buford complex is a congenital variation of the glenoid labrum in which there is a focal absence at the 12-3 o'clock position, usually associated with a thickened middle glenohumeral ligament. It is found in approximately 1.5% of the population.
