There is concentric wall thickening with aneurysmal dilatation of the terminal ileum.

Numerous enlarged lymph nodes and mild ascites are noted.

There is no small bowel obstruction.

Case Discussion

This is a pathology-proven case of Burkitt lymphoma, which is an aggressive subtype of non-Hodgkin lymphoma (NHL). In adults, Burkitt lymphoma is most often found in the abdomen, especially in terminal ileum.

The patient began chemotherapy shortly after the diagnosis, with good prognosis.
