Fall from height.

Patient Data

Age: 16 years old
Gender: Female

L3 anterior and right lateral compression fracture with disrupted posterior border and large right posterolateral retropulsion compressing the thecal sac against the posterior neural arch and compromising the right lateral recess and adjacent right neural exit foramen. 


Interpedicular distance widening on MRI.

At L2 = 23 mm

At L3 = 27 mm.

At L4 = 25 mm.

Burst fracture resulting in lumbar spinal canal stenosis.
