CADASIL with microbleeds

Genetically confirmed CADASIL Syndrome.

Patient Data

Age: 30 years
Gender: Female
mri

Leukoencephalopathy of the periventricular and deep frontoparietal white matter, anterior temporal pole, and external capsule (best seen on FLAIR). SWI shows deep cerebral microbleeds, resembling the pattern seen in hypertensive microangiopathy.

White matter changes and microbleeds typical for CADASIL (especially in a young patient like this without arterial hypertension).
