Right-sided lower abdominal non-shifting pain for 2 days.
Patient Data
There is a thickening of the medial wall of cecum with extra-luminal hypoechoic soft tissue extension. It is surrounded by echogenic thick fat. There are a few local ovoid subcentimeter sized nodes. There is no local collection. Appendix shows normal diameter (< 6 mm) and compressibility.
Case Discussion
An adolescent male presented with a history of right lower abdominal non-shifting pain for the last 2 days. Ultrasound shows a normal appendix and changes of cecal diverticulitis from its medial wall. CT scan was done later which showed similar findings (not uploaded).
