Case Discussion
Fatigue fractures (sometimes referred to merely as stress fractures) of the foot and ankle may occur in several locations. The middle foot is the most frequent site, but the calcaneus, the cuboid or the distal tibia may also be affected. MRI is the most sensitive detection method.
