Bohler's angle

Annotated image

Reduced Bohler's angle in a patient with a calcaneal fracture. The normal range for this angle is between 20 and 40 degrees. A reduced angle is a reliable sign of calcaneal fracture.

Case Discussion

Measuring Bohler angle is a useful adjunct when assessing for calcaneal fractures. Less than 20º is indicative of a fracture.
