There is severe comminution of the calcaneum with extension into the subtalar and calcaneonavicular joints and mild displacement of the fracture fragments. The talus, navicular and cuboid bones are intact. The ankle joint is intact. Tiny cortical fragment at the proximal aspect of the lateral cuneiform. No evidence of injury to the Lisfranc joint. There is associated soft tissue swelling throughout the hindfoot.
