Fall from height.

Patient Data

Age: 35
Gender: Male

Lucency through the calcaneus (just inferior to the tip of the lateral malleolus) in keeping with a calcaneal fracture.

Calcaneal fracture involving the subtalar joint.

Case Discussion

Make sure all cortical surfaces are inspected on each radiograph, otherwise fractures will be missed.
