Calcaneal lipoma with Cockade sign

A well-defined lytic lesion with a narrow transitional zone is noted at the anteroinferior portion of the calcaneum which shows a small central sclerotic focus.
Case Discussion
This is a case of an intraosseous calcaneal lipoma with central calcification, an incidental finding in a 40 year-old patient with ankle trauma. This appearance resembles the badge generally worn upon a hat and is called the "Cockade sign".
