Presentation

Fall and untreated right hip fracture 1 month prior. Limited mobility and persistent leg pain.

Patient Data

Age: 86
Gender: Female

Fracture of the posterior calcaneal tuberosity with avulsion of the Achilles tendon insertion, without fragment separation from the tendon.

Case Discussion

Earlier hip fracture was not treated because of poor overall condition. Initially, calcaneus was not imaged. One month after hip fracture, the patient had persistent hip and heel pain.
