A large avulsion fracture is noted from calcaneal tuberosity without 25 mm of retraction.
The defect site shows echoes in keeping with blood products.
Achilles tendon is noted attached to the tuberosity. Tendon itself is normal in echo patterns without changes of tendinosis.
The asymptomatic side is shown for comparison.
Plain radiograph ( not available, no copy right ) was diagnostic for calcaneal tuberosity avulsion fracture.
Ultrasound was requested to check achilles tendon pathology if any. Tendon was normal.
