History of osteoarthritis of the calcaneocuboid joint.

Patient Data

Age: 11 years
Gender: Male
  • degenerative joint disease of the calcaneocuboid joint

  • lengthening of the lateral column with calcaneocuboid distraction arthrodesis using a fibular autograft

  • distal fibular osteotomy

Case Discussion

This case demonstrates an isolated calcaneocuboid distraction arthrodesis using a fibular autograft.

This procedure is performed to treat osteoarthritis of the calcaneocuboid joint and the main complications are malunion, nonunion, and stress fracture of the lateral column 1.
