Mortise joint effusion.

An elongated and broadened anterior process of the calcaneus (anteater's nose) with the irregularity of the calcaneonavicular joint surfaces.

Bone marrow edema at the calcaneus anterior process and navicular medial pole. 

Case Discussion

A tarsal coalition is a union between two or more of the tarsal bones in the foot. The calcaneonavicular coalition is the second most commons type of tarsal coalition after the talocalcaneal type.
