Presentation

Right hip pain.

Patient Data

Age: 60 years
Gender: Male

A calcification is visible, adjacent to the right greater trochanter.

A calcification is present at the attachment site of the right gluteus medius muscle tendon to the greater trochanter. Marked edema of this muscle, adjacent soft tissues and of the greater trochanter.
