Calcific tendonitis of subscapularis tendon

Pain in shoulder.

Patient Data

Age: 50 years
Gender: Female
MRI

Shoulder joint

Calcific lesion adjacent to lesser tuberosity along the attachment site of subscapularis tendon. Diffuse surrounding inflammation is seen extending into adjacent myofascial planes, overlying deltoid, short head biceps and pectoral muscle fibers.

Case Discussion

Calcific lesion adjacent to lesser tuberosity along the attachment site of subscapularis tendon suggesting calcific tendonitis.
