An echogenic intrahepatic cystic mass was found on sonographic investigation for medical fitness (not shown here). CT scan was performed for further evaluation.

Calcified hydatid cyst of the liver

CT scan demonstrates a roughly 6 cm diameter round calcified mass in the right hepatic lobe. There are also small cystic lesions in liver segments III, V and VI. In addition, there is a small accessory spleen.
Case Discussion
Findings are most suggestive of hydatid disease.
Serologically proven hydatid disease.
