Bilateral calcified mid and lower zone pleural plaques, including over the diaphragm.

Compared with prior imaging, no new consolidation.

Case Discussion

Calcified pleural plaques are a common finding particularly in the elderly population, or those involved in industrial work, due to exposure to asbestos fibers. Close inspection for any associated fibrotic change or mass is important for patient compensation purposes.
