Pre employment CXR.

Patient Data

Age: 40 years
Gender: Female

Multiple small calcified granulomata throughout the lungs. Otherwise NAD.

Case Discussion

Previous viral infection with Varicella is a common cause of multiple small round calcific lung foci which represent granulomata.

This patient subsequently gave a history of serious Chickpox infection as a child.
