Patient Data

Age: Child
Gender: Male

MRI demonstrating abnormal midline structures including:

  • hypoplasia or dysgenesis of the posterior two thirds of the corpus callosum
  • posterior pituitary signal located in the hypothalamus
  • small optic chiasm
  • large arachnoid cyst in the left middle cranial fossa
  • bilateral periventricular nodular heterotopias more marked in the right
  • incomplete fornix on the right
  • communication between the frontal horn of the right lateral ventricle and the interhemispheric CSF
