Camptocormia (bent spine syndrome) - chronic forward flexion of the trunk in the standing position.
Case Discussion
Camptocormia is an extreme forward flexion of the trunk in the standing position, which increases while walking and disappears in the supine position.
It is associated with a number of conditions:
- dystonia
- Tourette syndrome
- amyotrophic lateral sclerosis
- myopathy
- myositis
