There is diffuse and somewhat irregular thickening of the cortical bone in the diaphyses of all of the long bones, with no involvement of the epiphyses. Interestingly, there are still open physes in this 24 year old, indicating delayed skeletal maturity.

Calvarial thickening with a dense diploic space and absence of the frontal and sphenoid sinuses.
Case Discussion
These findings are pathognomonic of diaphyseal dysplasia.
