Canal of Nuck hernia

Presentation

Two days of history of bilateral inguinal swelling during crying.

Patient Data

Age: 3 months
Gender: Female
ultrasound

There is bilateral hernia into the canal of Nuck. The ovary is present on each side. Hernia sac passes superficial to the inferior epigastric artery. Both ovaries show a normal grey-scale appearance. There is no fluid in either of the hernia sacs.

The uterus is normal.
