Presentation
Left inguinal swelling for the last two days.
Patient Data
There is a left inguinal hernia at the site of clinically visible swelling. The hernia passes superficial/lateral to the inferior epigastric vessels with its neck measuring about 6 mm. The hernia sac contains the left ovary, left fallopian tube, and peritoneal fluid. The herniated ovary does not show parenchymal edema. Its vascular pedicle shows arterial as well as venous flow without obvious twisting. The hernia is reducible.
There is a reducible fluid in the right canal of Nuck. The uterus is normal.
Case Discussion
The case shows a bilateral reducible canal of Nuck hernia. Left hernia contains left ovary, left fallopian tube, and peritoneal fluid. The right hernia contains peritoneal fluid.
