Presentation

Recurrent tender swelling of left groin. Heart transplant at age 14 for Holt-Oram Syndrome.

Patient Data

Age: 45 years
Gender: Female

Cystic swelling in the left inguinal canal appears to communicate with the round ligament.

x-ray

Heart transplant follow-up.

Hypoplastic hooked clavicles.

Case Discussion

Holt-Oram syndrome is associated with defects in the interatrial and interventricular septa, aortic coarctation and upper limb anomalies as well as hypoplastic and deformed clavicles.

Hydrocele of the canal of Nuck is rare and is not a recognized association of Holt-Oram syndrome.
