Known case of uterine choriocarcinoma. Presented with cough and chest pain.

Patient Data

Age: 20 years
Gender: Female

Well-circumscribed, rounded soft tissue pulmonary masses representing cannonball metastases. 

  • significantly enlarged uterus with heterogeneous enhancement and areas of hypervascularity (known case of choriocarcinoma)
  • congestion of the pelvic veins

Case Discussion

Cannonball metastases are common in choriocarcinoma. Choriocarcinoma is a hypervascular tumor and uterine choriocarcinoma is usually associated with congestion of the pelvic veins.
