Hypoattenuation noted involving bilateral globus pallidus and periventricular white matter.
No evidence of intracranial haemorrhage.
Case Discussion
Carbon monoxide (CO) poisoning results in anoxic-ischaemic encephalopathy which is seen on CT as low attenuation areas in the globus pallidus and in cerebral white matter.
