Age: 35 years
Gender: Female

Nearly symmetrical T2 / FLAIR hyperintensities with diffusion restriction are seen involving bilateral globi palladi.

Case Discussion

In view of symmetrical involvement of bilateral globi palladi, the possibility of a metabolic / toxic insult was considered.

On further questioning, the patient was found unconscious while taking a shower with the geyser on, confirming the diagnosis of gas geyser syndrome or carbon monoxide poisoning.
