Throbbing feeling in right eyeball after beating for several months.

Patient Data

Age: 60 years
Gender: Female

Dilatation of right superior ophthalmic vein and engorgement of the right cavernous sinus. The appearance is consistent with caroticocavernous fistula

Dilatated right superior ophthalmic vein which extends from enlarged cavernous sinus.

Case Discussion

Caroticocavernous fistula represents abnormal communication between the carotid circulation and the cavernous sinus.
