Right hip non-traumatic pain for six months. Multiple previous investigations (including radiograph, CT, MR and biopsy) are not available.

Left sided pelvic tilt.

Symptomatic side:
- blurring of superficial interphase of anechoic cartilage with the joint capsule
- tiny bony erosion / subchondral cyst is noted head
Asymptomatic side:
- anechoic cartilage of femur head shows clear margins
- possible subchondral cyst in the head
Case Discussion
Finding of blurring of superficial interphase of anechoic cartilage of right femoral head along with thinning in affected right hip suggest cartilage thinning.
