Contrast was instilled via a catheter in the distal urethra, there is evidence of contrast leakage from the bulbar segment to the venous sinuses and subsequent enhancement of the surrounding penile veins, inferring venous intravasation.
The findings are in the context of iatrogenic injury of the urethra in the bulbomembranus segment due to catheterization.
