Cavernoma with developmental venous anomaly

Patient Data

Age: 50 years
Gender: Female

A hyperdense lesion is seen involving the left side of the pons extending to the middle cerebral peduncle. It is associated with prominent vascular structures crossing it and extending to the left cerebellar hemisphere and vermis draining to the inferior petrosal sinus and 4th ventricle.

A left-sided pontine lesion with high T1 and T2 signal and blooming on SWI reflecting hemorrhagic content. Post-contrast T1 fat sat shows prominent surrounding vascular structures extending to the left cerebellar hemisphere and vermis.
