Cavum veli interpositi is an anatomical variant typically found incidentally and more commonly in children. It is a cisternal CSF-containing space formed in the velum interpositum, located between the lateral ventricles, inferior to the fornices and superior to the third ventricle. While cavum septum pellucidum has been associated with neuropsychiatric disorders, cavum veli interpositi has not .1,2
