Suspected new CVA.

Patient Data

Age: 80 years
Gender: Female
ct

Hypodense left parietal area involving the postcentral gyrus and mildly effacing the surrounding sulci - most probably a subacute infarct.
Old infarcts, unchanged compared to previous CT head from half a year earlier (not shown):
right occipital, bilateral cerebellar, in right basal ganglia.
Widespread leukoaraiosis.
Cavum veli interpositi cyst.
Right mandibular condyle resting anterior to the TMJ, probably postural. Clinical correlation required.

Incidentally noted cavum veli interpositi cyst in an elderly woman suffering from a parietal ischemic stroke.
