Cavum velum interpositum

Selected CT images demonstrate a triangular shaped cystic space is present in the midline, immediately below the splenium of corpus callosum, displacing the fornices up, and internal cerebral veins down. It is of CSF density. Features are characteristic of a cavum velum interpositum cyst.

A triangular shaped cystic space is present in the midline, immediately below the splenium of corpus callosum, displacing the fonices up, and internal cerebral veins down. It follows CSF on all sequences. Features are characteristic of a cavum velum interpositum cyst.
