Cecal cancer with appendiceal mucocele

Increased wall thickness is noted at cecum accompanied by surrounding fat stranding and a few small pericolic lymphadenopathies. The appendix is distended.

Proximal colon cancer; pathology proven adenocarcinoma with appendiceal mucocele.
Colorectal cancers can be found anywhere from the cecum to the rectum. The cecum and ascending colon are involved in approxmiately 20% of cases.
