Diagnosis probable

Presentation

Midline maxillary mass and swelling.

Patient Data

Age: 40 years
Gender: Female
ct

 Well circumscribed sclerotic mass with expansion at the alveolar ridge of the maxilla.

Ring artefact is present.

Case Discussion

The findings are most likely compatible with cemento-ossifying fibroma. They are initially lucent on an x-ray with soft tissue attenuation on a CT scan. As they mature, they gradually develop increasing amounts of calcification/ossification.
