An incidental finding was noted during a radiographic examination for other reason.

Patient Data

Age: 30 years
Gender: Female

There is a small well-defined radiopacity with radiolucent rim at the apical region of left mandibular first molar tooth.


There is a periapical, sclerotic, sharply marginated lesion with a low attenuation halo that is fused to the root of the left lower first molar tooth. The lesion measures 5 mm in diameter.

Case Discussion

The imaging findings are characteristic of a cementoblastoma.
