Presentation

Ataxia, nausea and vomitting. History of uncontrolled hypertension.

Patient Data

Age: 80 years
Gender: Female
ct
  • hyperdense area, measuring 40 x 60 mm, seen in the left cerebellar hemisphere and vermis with mild surrounding edema

  • no evidence of intraventricular extension

  • diffuse periventricular and centrum semiovale white matter hypoattenuation, non-specific, but most likely represents chronic small vessel disease
