Cerebellopontine angle lipoma

Presentation

Known case of lung cancer.

Patient Data

Age: 70 years
Gender: Male
mri

A relatively defined T1/T2 hyperintense lesion measuring about 1.9 x 1.2 cm is seen at right cerebellopontine angle, medially compressing the right pons and medulla, likely lipoma.

A fat attenuation lesion is seen at right cerebellopontine angle.

Case Discussion

This patient is a known case of lung cancer, on treatment. MRI Brain was performed as a part of evaluation protocol. An incidental relatively defined lesion was observed at right cerebellopontine angle appearing hyperintense on T1 and T2 images.

Consecutive PET CT revealed fat containing lesion at right cerebellopontine angle.
