Cerebral hemorrhagic contusions and subdural hematoma

Presentation

History of road traffic accident.

Patient Data

Age: 30 years
Gender: Female

Hemorrhagic contusions are seen in the both frontal lobes and the both temporal poles.

Minimal subdural hematoma (SDH) in the bilateral frontal and the left temporal region with left parafalcine extension. 

The basal ganglia, internal capsule, corpus callosum, and thalamus appear normal. The cerebral ventricles are normal-sized and symmetrically arranged. There are no signs of increased intracranial pressure.

A linear undisplaced fracture line is seen in the occipital bone and the frontal bone at the roof of the left orbit.

Case Discussion

This is a case of cerebral hemorrhagic contusions with frontotemporal subdural hematoma with left parafalcine extension and linear undisplaced fracture in the occipital and frontal bones.
