Cerebral metastases: breast cancer

Presentation

Systemic workup after a diagnosis of breast cancer.

Patient Data

Age: 50 years
Gender: Female

Numerous enhancing intra-axial lesions in the brain parenchyma in the supratentorial and infratentorial regions.

The largest lesion measures 15 mm with marked vasogenic edema in the left cerebellar hemisphere.

Case Discussion

Haematogenous cerebral metastases in a known case of breast cancer (invasive ductal carcinoma).
