Cerebral metastases from gastric cancer

Complaints of headaches.

Patient Data

Age: 63 years
Gender: Female

Multiple foci of hyperintense signal (T2) in the cerebral hemispheres and cerebellum surrounded by a perifocal edema with compression of right lateral ventricle. Tumors quickly and homogeneously enhanced by contrast agent. In left frontal lobe we see similar node with hemorrhagic content.

Case Discussion

The patient was operated on for gastric carcinoma. Considering the history of the patient the most likely diagnosis is cerebral metastasis.
