Cerebral venous thrombosis

Presentation

Dizziness and mild headache for 2 weeks.

Patient Data

Age: 40 years
Gender: Male
MRI

Partial thrombosis involving the superior sagittal sinus, left superior cortical vein, left transverse sinus, left sigmoid sinus, and proximal parts of left internal jugular vein.

The thrombus demonstrate high signal on T2W1 and T1W1 in keeping with its sub-acute nature.

Case Discussion

MRI is a non-invasive imaging modality for the depiction of Cerebral venous thrombosis that can visualise the clot it self as well as its sequelae.
